[ 🇺🇸BELOW ] 🇧🇷 Para participar do #mermay2021 decidi criar uma sereia para cada um dos 8 planetas do sistema solar. Usei fotos reais de cada planeta para escolher as cores, e mitologia grega/romana para tentar montar a personalidade de cada sereia. Espero que gostem das "sereias celestiais!"🪐
[ 🇺🇸 ] To participate in #mermay2021 i decided to create a mermaid for each of the 8 planets in the system solar. I used real photos of each planet to choose colors, and I used Greek/Roman mythology to try to piece together each mermaid's personality. I hope you like the "Heavenly Sirens!"!🪐
1. Mercury | Mercúrio
[ 🇧🇷 ] Na mitologia grega, o planeta Mercúrio é o deus Hermes, o mensageiro que voava velozmente entregando mensagens entre os outros deuses mitológicos. Merrúrio recebeu esse nome por ser o planeta mais veloz a completar seu movimento de translação ao redor do sol (88 dias). Como o planeta é pequeno e tímido diante dos outros planetas enormes, imaginei minha sereia mercúrio bem tímida, porem com nadadeiras enormes que lhe dariam velocidade ao nadar.
[ 🇺🇸 ] In Greek mythology, the planet Mercury is the god Hermes, the messenger who flew swiftly delivering messages between the other mythological gods. Mercury was named for being the fastest planet to complete its translation movement around the sun (88 days). As the planet is small and shy compared to other huge planets, I imagined my mermaid Mercury very shy, but with huge fins that would give her speed when swimming.
2. Vênus | Venus
[ 🇧🇷 ] Na mitologia grega e romana, Vênus (ou Afrodite) é a deusa do amor e da beleza, filha de Zeus, linda e formosa. Por esse motivo tentei criar uma personagem bem delicada e vaidosa que esbanja feminilidade.
[ 🇺🇸 ] In Greek and Roman mythology, Venus (or Aphrodite) is the goddess of love and beauty, daughter of Zeus, beautiful and beautiful. For this reason I tried to create a very delicate and vain character that oozes femininity.
3. Terra | Earth

4. Marte | Mars
[ 🇧🇷 ] Marte na mitologia grega e romana se chama Ares,Deus da guerra. O Deus Ares teve um romance com a deusa Afrodite, e era um guerreiro incansável, até mesmo agressivo. Sempre estava em batalhas e com sangue nas mãos, todo o tempo com um elmo na cabeça e um escudo em suas mãos. Por esse motivo criei essa personagem com uma armadura inspirada na de soldados romanos de época. Amei desenhar a trança em seus cabelos! Minha irmã disse que ela parece ser alguém boa, que só luta porque precisa lutar,pois a expressão em seu rosto é a de alguém boa lá no fundo do coração. ❤️
[ 🇺🇸 ] Mars in Greek and Roman mythology is called Ares, God of War. The god Ares had a romance with the goddess Aphrodite, and was a tireless warrior, even aggressive. He was always in battle and with blood on his hands, all the while with a helmet on his head and a shield in his hands. For this reason I created this character with an armor inspired by the Roman soldiers of that time. I loved drawing the braid in your hair! My sister said that she seems like someone good, that she only fights because she needs to fight, because the expression on her face is that of someone good deep in her heart. ❤️
5. Júpiter | Jupiter
[ 🇧🇷 ] Na mitologia grega e romana, Júpiter se chama Zeus, e é a divindade do céu, dos raios, trovões e tempestades. Por isso sempre está com um raio em suas mãos, sendo ele o deus supremo que governa sobre todos os outros deuses do Olimpo. Acho que hoje a sereia Zeus está um pouco zangada, hein?
[ 🇺🇸 ]In Greek and Roman mythology, Jupiter is called Zeus, and is the deity of the sky, of lightning, thunder and storms. That's why he always has lightning in his hands, being the supreme god who rules over all the other gods of Olympus. I think the mermaid Zeus is a little angry today, huh?
6. Saturno | Saturn
[ 🇧🇷 ] Na mitologia grega e romana, Saturno também é Cronos, o Deus do tempo (o planeta recebeu o nome desse deus por se mover mais lentamente do que outros planetas, que fofo!🥰). Por isso desenhei a ampulheta e o relógio. Notem as mãos cheias de anéis e o bambolê na cintura.
[ 🇺🇸 ] In Greek and Roman mythology, Saturn is also Cronus, the god of time (the planet got its name from this god because it moves slower than other planets, how cute!🥰). That's why I designed the hourglass and the clock. Note the hands full of rings and the hula hoop on his waist.
7. Urano | Uranus
[ 🇧🇷 ] Essa é minha sereia de urano! Sabiam que Urano também tem anéis? Fiquei sabendo durante este projeto que a partir de jupter todos eles tem anéis.
[ 🇺🇸 ] This is my Uranus Mermaid! Did you know that Uranus also has rings? I learned during this project that from jupters they all have rings.
8. Netuno | Neptune
[ 🇧🇷 ] E essa é minha versão de como seria Netuno se fosse uma sereia. Na mitologia grega e romana, Netuno é o Deus dos mares e das águas. Então tentei desenhar uma “água celestial” brilhante para ela se sentar.✨🥰
[ 🇺🇸 ] And this is my version of what Neptune would be like if it were a mermaid. In Greek and Roman mythology, Neptune is the God of the seas and waters. So I tried to draw a glowing “heavenly water” for her to sit on.✨🥰
Aprendi muito com esse exercício e pretendo fazer uma releitura dessas minhas "personagens originais". De qual delas você gostou mais?
